LXVI - Monster March fourth, week: showcase, Bloat drone

I skipped the third week of Monster March , but I could finish my pledge, the Nurgle Bloat Drone in time, and I'm happy, also because I started the rest of the army, finishing 5 Marine (well, I mean five 5 guys in power armours), starting the 5 remaining, and also the poxies.

Finally I'm back, after a long hiatus on the hobby. My last work, the army of Nurgle (commission) simply dried out all my willing of hobby, so, due it's an hobby, I decided to leave brushes and paints away from my life, till I get the inspiration.

Before the official presentation, I'd like to say that I'm sorry, but I got some things to do in real life and, according to the fact that I had to finish the project, I did not have nothing to tell till now.

LIX - The Cult of The Hidden Knives: the Hidden Knife

No one in The Cult of the Hidden Knife could be named the Hidden Knife: only the top of the hierarchy -or supposed top, if there is one- can have the honour to be named in a such way.

It is not clear if the Hidden Knife is powerful as said, but he seems to be the hidden blade that all the other assassins know that is going to stab them, if they are not loyal to each of his orders. To threat such strong throats cutters, you ought be poweful, or there should be laws written or not that bound the assassins to its willing.

The thunders roared, the night were enlighted by holy bolts whom touched the ground with a precise pattern. Garaz'nath stopped for few seconds its arrogant walking: also for a ruthless and experienced warrior like him, the sight of those dark masks in the lights of the storm could leave him a bit more careful about his life.

LIV - Showcase: Stormcast eternals army 2/3

Hi readers!!
I'm alive, do not worry about! Life out hobby issues (that are going to continue), and a small lack of willing in painting make me to spent a lot of time to paint this army, that is not so bad to paint, but the results arrive only now.
However, here the last guys, the big bros, the flying bros and the chief bro.

LIII - Showcase: Stormcast eternals army 1/3

Sorry for the lack of post but in these last weeks I was in a downward spiral of the hobby wave, so I painted very few things and I had nothing to show you. I started fast the Stormcast Eternals army project painting the two units of Liberators in a week or two and doing the tutorial, then I begun the guy with the standard -well you already know I cannot learn the names, please be patient- and I finished it some days ago. My idea was to show all the army but with this rithm maybe next year I'll be ready lol.

LI - The Cult of Hidden Knives: The Slender Threadbare

Everything was prepared for the dark ritual. Long black candles filled the air with their disgustingly sweet scent, unholy flutes and drums spreaded their hypnotic and unnatural melodies and, all around, cultists danced drooling, completely sick in the lights of the flames.

And then I saw him: I could really not say if he is a living being or some kind of energy with the shape of a light agile emotionless warrior. One of his obsidian blades enterend between the two plates of the armour that protect the shoulder and the neck only for a pair of seconds: the hit was so light that the bulky warrior, was not sure that he was wounded, but he realized soon that the blade was covered of poison.



The arm near of the the small cut bended backward and, due the contractions of the muscles, the neck snapped.
Meanwhile, the dark assassin was disappeared in the woods, leaving the sort of the battle doomed, having killed one of the generals.
I barely survived to that battle, and I am not convinced to have seen his emotionless metal face in the moonlight.

XLIX - Showcase: Nurgle Blightkings

This week I've finished the Blightkings, my last (but one?) unit of Nurgle, result achieved!
Now there is only an army of Stormcast, an army of Khorne, and some spare project to do, easy and fast (joking of course).

XLVI - Genesis of a new Project: the origin

As you can read on the title, there is something new that I want to share. Must be sincere, this is going to be a small trip from past. As you know, I am working on a small WH40K Dark Eldar warband, a small group of mercenary that simply reject to live in Commoragh and decided to live away in The Webay. The project is very nice to do, but sometimes you need to return back to your roots, and often there is something that make you have an epiphany. A new plausible future project involves dark elves,  so I felt nice to show from where I am starting.

Hi all!
Well the Glottkin are finished, and I am very happy: the model is big, very big, with tons of details, and a lot of character, and try to make it disgusting, sick but menacing has been a nice challenge.
Before to continue, I have to thanks SwordMaster of Path of an Outcast, the manager of this amazing event: thanks a lot, seing so much monsters together is very cool, the only thing is missing is a pic with all of them together (but clearly it is impossible lol).

I was playing with phone filters, and I have thought that this one where quite nice! Look the pink fire!  Quite fun that the opposite of the painting scheme I used is near to the opposite chaos god to Nurgle.Well,  after that, the real pics.

XLI - Showcase: Dark Eldar Mercenary

Hi readers, I have finally finished my first Dark Eldar Mercenary, after a long (above all in my mind) trip, tracked here, here, and here.

 

I have analyzed my issue with Dark Eldar and I think that my problem is that I love those miniatures, and maybe I think that nothing I do is worth of them, and I have no satisfaction in my work. Furthermore I always thought that DE and Dark Elves (Aelves, that in latin has the same pronunciation ... ae = e like "end": nice joke GW!) are bad but clean: my last projects are not so clean and I like paint dirty and grim miniatures, but with DE-DA I had a block, the must not be dirty and grim (for my standard).

Now I cought the courage to make them more grim and less elegant (for my standard clearly!!!), without exagerate logically, they are not Zombies, and I like the result.

XXXVIII - Showcase: Plague Lords Magnetized

Whoaa the Plague Lords are finished!!!
I really had fun in painting this model, more than daemons, because it has all the good features that daemons have, like great quantity of flesh, horns, spikes, bubbles, teeths, fangs, trophy heads and guts, but also it has a "human" part, with different skin, armours, weapons and so on.

Come to daddy my small maggots, lurking in the cold blood, drinking pus, rotting every breath, come to daddy following the toll of rusty bells, if your eyes are melted, or veiled by cataracts.

XXXIII - Showcase: Nurgle Drones

Hi!
In these days I've painted the three Nurgle Drones, the last chapter of the daemons part of the Nurgle wave that hits my hobby desk in December. I've not done a wip simply because I did not find a meaning for it, the drones were "almost painted" for a while, so I've thought "why do a wip, they are almost finished" and so on. Well now they are really finished, and, I am happy to say that the daemonic part of the nurgle miniature I got is ended.

XXX - Showcase: Nurglings

 Here we go, new year, new miniatures!

30th post of this blog, quite proud of what it is becoming.

In this post the first results of the work on the Nurgle wave, Nurglings: not too much words, hoping pics are going to tell more.

I got some ideas about them, so I tried to do the best for those small terrible guys. Must say, they are very funny to paint, but you sweat a bit painting some parts hidden by the layers of this little monsters.

As already said, I like them because they seem that they are doing stupid poses and faces when someone is taking a pic of them, maybe a proud Great Unclean. I glued one also to make it seems falling, adding a bir more of disorder.

XXV - Showcase : Imperial Knight with black background

Well I am still alive! In this period I am in a downward spiral of the hobby: I have not posted anything because simply I have not painted anything. It is quite annoying, and I have something to paint, but they are not what I'd like to do: furthermore, I have no idea of what paint so I am not buying nothing. Maybe some Nurgle thing are on my mind, but I am not completely satisfied.
However I have caught some new pics of the imperial knight, here for you!
